Being the new "thing" means everyone, to be cool, becomes obsessed with an object, movie/television show or concept. 'My Little Pony' being the new thing creates hundreds of "Bronies" and "Pegasisters", who unfortunately cannot even spell their names correctly, to draw great movies like 'Lord of The Rings' or 'Star Wars' and spam the most liked pages with ponies! Whenever looking up a picture it is always ponies with a few glimpses of regular, proper artwork. Pony as these characters are considered great works of art, but they are not, the designs and costumes do not even come from the artist and a simple 5 year old could figure out how to make a pony look like Gandalf. I do not mean to tear down all 'My Little Pony' art, but to say limit your submissions of these or stop making so many of great movies and shows, I do wish to see artwork of them as themselves and not some children's toys.
Pairing two characters from completely different shows makes no sense as they have nothing that would compel them to find a relationship and they would never find each other to have one. Two examples are "Sondash" (Sonic and Rainbow Dash) and "Mordetwi". "Mordetwi" is a pairing between Twilight Sparkle from 'My Little Pony' and Mordecai, one of the main characters from 'Regular show', another popular show. The pairing of these two makes no sense. Mordecai fancies Margret, a character that works at a coffee shop, and would not consider a unicorn attractive as the episode 'The Unicorns Have Got To Go' involves Mordecai and his friend Rigby trying to get rid of unicorns as their partying nature proves to be a large annoyance. Through the hassle of trying to get the unicorns away, Mordecai would have gotten a large fear of unicorns, or would never trust a unicorn again. Secondly, the idea that two completely different characters would date is ridiculous, they are completely opposite in personalities and have two completely different wants and goals in life, the relationship would not work out. I do not mean to say that "Bronies" are ignorant or stupid, I mean only to point out the stupidity of the idea.
"Cloppers" are defined as "A Brony who is sick and perverted. A Brony who makes Clopfics (or reads them) and shipping stories of ponies from the show "My Litttle Pony: Friendship is Magic". Cloppers usually support rule 34 and embrace it. It is derived from the word Clopping which means fapping." These fans go onto pony porn websites to "fap" or masturbate to pictures of pony's having sex with each other or just sexual themes. "Cloppers" are the absolute most wrong "Brony" as the thought of a children's show (or what was meant to be a children's show) becoming something for people in their 30's to get sexual pleasure off is sickening. These men creature open websites or Facebook groups/pages to show one another the best pictures you can get, when looking up 'My Little Pony' in Google and Google Images, young children may accidently find/click the image/link and see it. I am not saying it is wrong to fantasise about a favourite television show or movie, I only wish to say that with children's shows it is just wrong and should not be allowed.
In conclusion, 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' is not the real problem, it is the out of control fans. Creating relationships, pornography and artwork that would spam the search of something with of ponies is annoying. I do not wish to be annoying, though I know that is most likely the case, I wish to notify that what's going on can be considered a nuisance. The idea that people creating ponies to make adoptables or "art" and claim the idea as there own and be praised for it is annoying, it means that real artists are not found. Though this is not the only bad fan disaster (Sonic and Total Drama are two example) it is the worst in my opinion.

One thing I do agree on in your rant thought is that the crossover pairing crap is ridiculous.
And I did mean to add that I did not find all pony art annoying, some are rather amazing and are great works of art.
